While coaching, counselling, and mentoring all support personal and professional growth, they serve different purposes:
- Counselling/Therapy: Focuses on exploring past experiences to understand and heal from emotional challenges.
- Coaching: A forward-focused process designed to help you gain perspective, set goals, and create meaningful change in the present.
- Mentoring: Involves receiving informal guidance from someone with expertise in a specific field to help navigate future career or leadership challenges.
I blend coaching and mentoring, drawing on over 10 years of talent development experience to help you create lasting transformation.
Successful coaching requires five key ingredients:
1. Rapport – A strong connection is essential so that you feel comfortable opening up.
2. Trust – Coaching works best when you're willing to be honest and a little vulnerable.
3. Commitment – Sessions need your energy and dedication. That means prioritising our time together and following through on actions between sessions.
4. Reflection – Growth happens between sessions. Jotting down insights, observations, and challenges will accelerate your progress.
5. Openness to Change – You're here because something needs to shift. Coaching is about exploring new approaches, stretching your thinking, and embracing fresh perspectives.
Before we start, we’ll have a discovery call to ensure we’re a great fit. I only take on a limited number of clients to provide the focus and attention you deserve.
